You must list your experience in the box below, showing names and phone numbers of employers or translation agencies, with dates and word count of projects. You do not have to attach supporting documents, but you must keep them on file for three years. Randomly selected candidates will be required to supply documentation of experience. If you cannot supply documentation or proof of all the experience you have listed on this form, your membership may be cancelled and no refund will be given. The total application fee is $200 plus GST. The first installment ($110 plus GST) is due once this form is completed and can be paid by credit card or cheque. Fees are subject to change without notice, and all application fees are non-refundable.
After completing the form, you will receive a confirmation email that will include a list of requirements that STIBC must receive before your application can be reviewed. At that time, please send STIBC a copy of your resume. Also send copies of university diplomas or certificates, membership in any professional and international language associations, any experience teaching translation or interpretation, and/or volunteer work as a translator or interpreter. After reviewing the application, STIBC will contact you by email or telephone.
